Centre on Governance with the Ottawa Culture Research Group
The Counting on Culture Symposium, presented by the University of Ottawa Centre on Governance in conjunction with the Ottawa Culture Research Group (OCRG), will provide an overview of key findings and insights from Ottawa’s most comprehensive development of culture indicators ever published.   The OCRG is an innovative partnership that includes researchers from government, community organizations, the culture sector, and academia that are committed to analyzing and sharing reliable data and indicators about the state of Ottawa’s culture sector.   This half day symposium welcomes stakeholders and researchers involved with arts, culture, heritage, festivals, tourism, and creative industries who are interested in developing a deeper understanding of Ottawa’s culture sector.   Presentation: Counting on Culture: Impacts and Indicators in Ottawa   Agenda:

  2. Presentation – Counting on Culture: Impacts and Indicators in Ottawa.
  3. An introduction to the Ottawa Culture Research Group and an overview of key research findings will be followed by a Q&A
  4. Panel - A panel discussion around key insights into the information that was presented, as well as implications, data gaps, and suggested next steps will be followed by a Q&A
  5. Closing remarks
