Yiddish is far from “dead” or “dying,” with many exciting new developments in the Yiddish language and culture since the beginning of the new millennium. This symposium brings together international scholars to present their research on areas of innovation in Yiddish since the year 2000.
Saturday evening begins with an opening session from 7:30-9:30 pm and a performance talk on "Yiddish and Judeo-Spanish Songs" by Judith Cohen of York University. Saturday's event takes place at Library and Archives, Canada.
