Anne Levesque will present an overview of the human rights complaint from the First Nations Child and Family Support Society of Canada and the Assembly of First Nations that led to a historic victory in 2016 that affirms the equality rights of more than 165,000 Aboriginal children. It will then address barriers to the implementation of the Canadian Human Rights Tribunal's orders.
Anne Levesque has been an Assistant Professor in the French Common Law Program (PCLF) since 2019. Her research and publications focus on human rights and public interest litigation.
