Version Control / Git Workshop

Git has become the standard version control system allowing people to keep track of software as it changes and collaborate with large teams. Github is used by tons of developers and open source enthusiasts. This workshop will cover the basics of git such as adding and deleting files, creating commits, merging and pulling branches. We'll also create a github account and our first repository.

Please bring your laptop to this workshop, although there are computers available for use in the Makerspace.

IEEE Introduction à la réalité virtuelle

IEEE Virtual Reality Workshop

Virtual Reality is a rising trend in the world of tech these days. From entertainment to healthcare, VR has several uses. Join us to learn how to use a web framework called A-frame to create your own virtual world using HTML. It is as easy as creating a website! No programming experience necessary. Global Entrepreneurship week - Learn to Prototype

Interested in starting a company but don’t have the skills to prototype your ideas? Come to the Makerspace, located in Colonel By building (first floor, block B, room B109A) and see all of the FREE tools and materials which are available for all students to use! The session will include a tour of the Makerspace, introduction to useful design software and a lesson on how to prototype! Introduction to Python

This workshop focuses on the basics of coding in the language of Python. The workshop is used to familiarize participants with the general functions and syntax associated with this programming language. Participants will work through some of the example codes in order to understand basic coding. Computers can be provided, however, if you prefer to bring your own computer make sure you install the Python software, available here.

Atelier Introduction a Arduino
