Performing Self

This presentation shares research from an initiative where researchers in Counselling Psychology and Theatre Education at UBC collaborated with military veterans to produce a theatre production. Community members and researchers participated with six returning veterans in a series of drama-based workshops that led to the production of Contact! Unload. All participants had completed the Veterans Transition Program (VTP) prior to joining this project.

This presentation will explore the policy and practice contexts for school autonomy and 21st Century learning in Canadian provinces. Reference will be made to the larger international project exploring school autonomy and 21st Century learning in Australia, Canada, Finland, Hong Kong, Israel, Singapore, and the United Kingdom.

The presentation will be lectured by Dr. Paul Newton who is an Associate Professor and Department Head of Educational Administration at the University of Saskatchewan.

Inauguration of the new Faculty of Education Resource Centre

In 2017, the Faculty of Education at the University of Ottawa will celebrate its 50th anniversary. In view of this fast-approaching milestone, we have planned a series of events to bring together all members of our community: students, alumni, staff, and faculty members.

One such event is the official inauguration of the Faculty of Education Resource Centre. This newly located and modernized centre will provide educational and technological resources for an enriching student and faculty experience.
