Le thème de cette année, « Le portail à travers le temps», vous fera vivre un voyage dans le temps plein de surprises pour y découvrir notre passé et notre avenir, au son du groupe Joel Plaskett Emergency, gagnant d’un prix Juno.

The Faculty of Medicine cordially invites you to celebrate our 70th anniversary at the third annual gala, Abracadabra: A Night of Magic & Medicine. This year’s theme, “A Portal Through Time”, takes you on an exciting time-travelling exploration of our past and future, with a special intimate performance by eclectic Canadian band Joel Plaskett Emergency.

Cette conférence sera prononcée par le Dr Paul Lem,  diplômé en médecine (MD) de l’Université d’Ottawa et entrepreneur ayant démarré sa propre entreprise de biotechnologies à 26 ans au sortir de la Faculté de médecine. Le Dr Lem nous parlera de son parcours non conventionnel d’étudiant à inventeur, notamment de ses sources d’inspiration et des personnes qui l’ont motivé à poursuivre son rêve.

The Faculty of Medicine at the University of Ottawa would like to invite you to our second lecture of 2015: “Innovation in Medicine: Journey from Medical School to a Landmark Medical Invention” featuring guest speaker Dr. Paul Lem, a uOttawa MD alumnus and inventor who went on to start his own biotech company at age 26 after graduating from our Faculty of Medicine. He will share his unconventional journey from medical student to inventor and the ideas, influences and people that inspired him to pursue his dream.
