We are launching SISTER'S TALK podcast, and to celebrate this, the Afro-feminist symposium team is delighted to invite you to its first edition that has for theme : “Black women and Afrofeminisms”.

Trajectoires, impensés et paradoxes de la laïcité québécoise

Le 16 juin 2019, l'Assemblée nationale du Québec adopte une "Loi sur la laïcité de l'État" (Loi 21). Est-ce ainsi, par l'adoption de ce seul texte législatif, que le Québec serait devenu laïque?

Résolument critique du nouveau dispositif législatif, cette présentation proposera de montrer comment il s'inscrit en rupture avec la trajectoire historico-juridique du Québec.Elle soutiendra l'argument selon lequel la Loi 21 n'est pas tant une loi faisant la laïcité au Québec, qu'une loi qui en reflète les impensés et les paradoxes.
