Consultation sur la santé mentale avec les étudiants

La Doyenne de la Faculté des sciences sociales, Victoria Barham, invite celles et ceux qui ont des suggestions à partager, sur la façon dont la Faculté peut améliorer son soutien au bien-être de nos étudiants, à une consultation communautaire participative qui aura lieu le jeudi 5 mars de 16 h à 17 h 30, dans la pièce FSS 4007. La Faculté souhaite identifier des initiatives spécifiques qui favoriseront la santé mentale des étudiants et leur expérience étudiante. Certaines initiatives pourraient être entreprises au cours des dernières semaines du trimestre.

"How can we counter disinformation?" Challenge

We live in an era of disinformation. Impact and wide dissemination of sound bites have become more important than truth, and manipulation of facts is commonplace. How can we counter disinformation? What innovative ways can technology be used to combat fake news?

The Embassies of Germany and France, in partnership with the National Film Board of Canada and the University of Ottawa, are launching a project on the topic of disinformation. This project will bring together students from diverse background to propose a digital tool for understanding and decoding disinformation.
