• Present the CMA’s physician wellness initiatives and how these can support physician health
• Introduce a new focus on Medical Culture and explore how individuals and organization can build healthy cultures to support wellness
Mentoring is known to contribute to the success and academic advancement of faculty members. The Faculty of Medicine encourages our members to promote, foster and participate in formal mentoring programs. Mentoring and being mentored can be enhanced by formalizing the relationship, setting expectations and develop strategies to ensure positive outcomes for all involved and to avoid the pitfalls that can occur in mentoring relationships.

This resources was developed by the Council of Ontario Universities and the Centre for Innovation in Campus Mental Health, which is funded by the Ontario government.

Participants will become familiar with the many types of unconscious bias that affect their every-day decisions, and their medical and research careers. They will be able to test their own biases, as a first step to identifying and eliminating them, and will recognize biases when they occur. Scenarios involving unconscious bias will be presented, and discussed.
