Getting started with Nvivo

NVivo is a powerful software designed to assist you in organizing and analyzing unstructured, non-numeric data. It is particularly useful for qualitative and mixed methods researchers. This session is designed to provide an introduction to the software including the import of text-based data, foundational mechanics of coding data, use of lexical queries, and examples of deeper analytics tools. It assumes no prior experience with NVivo.

Introduction to Microsoft Planner (French)

Juggling tasks and projects can be an arduous task, especially when working in a team and from a distance. An efficient way to approach the challenge and organize the work is through project management software.

We will present Microsoft Planner, part of the Office 365 suite and available free of charge to the University of Ottawa community. This online resource works on all operating systems and available through any web browser, no application download required!

Nous présenterons le Planificateur Microsoft qui fait partie de la suite Office 365, disponible gratuitement à l'Université d'Ottawa. De plus, le logiciel en ligne fonctionne sur tous les systèmes d'exploitation et navigateurs web, aucun téléchargement requis!

CANCELLED podcast “Black women and Afrofeminisms”

We are launching SISTER'S TALK podcast, and to celebrate this, the Afro-feminist symposium team is delighted to invite you to its first edition that has for theme : “Black women and Afrofeminisms”.

This first edition will present a short movie and three discussion panels (under political, academic and activist theme) with influential and inspiring black women who work every day to deconstruct the myths surrounding black women that are rooted in colonialism. Our 16 guests are coming from The United-States, Haiti and across Canada!
