The Fate and Effects of Nanosilver in a Lake Ecosystem

French

Dr. Chris Metcalfe, Director of the Institute for Freshwater Science, Trent University, will discuss the recent results from the whole lake addition of nanosilver to an experimental lake at ELA. Given the concerns over environmental effects of these nanomaterials, this is a unique experiment which may help answer questions re the fate of these materials and their effects (toxicity? bioaccumulation?)
