The Central and Eastern European Studies Research Group & Studies in Migration Research Group present Ottawa premiere of the internationally acclaimed play from South Africa
Three brothers: Bela, Bufo and Lorde, travelling artists who recently lost their way. Orphaned when their leader, guide and father left them. Following them is Roto, a mute musician with a true artistic heart. As our characters travel they are presented with a fork in the road - a choice they've never had to face. The ways are divided as are their conflicting desires for a new world where art can always be with them, resisting the possibility of a different life.
The eQuality Project, The Shirley Greenberg Chair in Women and the Legal Profession, & The Human Rights Research and Education Centre are proud to sponsor an upcoming performance of the Ghomeshi Effect, entitled The Ghomeshi Effect: Meet the Artists.
