Management Research Seminar Series

This presentation provides an overview of the conceptual frameworks employed to measure science, technology and innovation (ST&I). It catalogues international concepts and definitions used in developing statistical measures. An overview of Statistics Canada’s ST&I data sources leads into a discussion of researcher micro data access. Throughout the presentation, challenges in developing internationally comparable data as well as tips on how to employ the statistical indicators will be provided.

Telfer Health Transformation Exchange

Our hospitals, like others across the country, have to be transformed in order to become patient-centered and value-based. Such transformation is primarily a clinical one, and goes beyond an administration or IT led project. One way of achieving value-based hospital is through clinical operations management which involves people (clinical and administrative personnel), clinical and management processes, and information capture and delivery.
