Ever wondered what to do with your print now that it's done? This workshop is for people who desire something more than a one coloured print. It is for all levels of 3D printers and makers! We will be going over different printing and post-printing techniques to ensure that you get the best prints possible (in the least amount of time) and that your prints make people jealous! We will be supplying the paint and brushes and glue, but feel free to bring in any extra materials! PLEASE BRING AN ALREADY COMPLETED 3D PRINT TO THE WORKSHOP.

Virtual Reality is a rising trend in the world of tech these days. From entertainment to healthcare, VR has several uses. Join us to learn how to use a web framework called A-frame to create your own virtual world using HTML. It is as easy as creating a website! No programming experience necessary. This workshop is offered in English. It is recommended that you have the latest version of Unity installed on your computer.

Interested in starting a company but don’t have the skills to prototype your ideas? Come to the Makerspace, located in Colonel By building (first floor, block B, room B109A) and see all of the FREE tools and materials which are available for all students to use! The session will include a tour of the Makerspace, introduction to useful design software and a lesson on how to prototype! This workshop is designed to give you some skills to help you turn your ideas into actual prototypes.

This workshop focuses on the basics of coding in the language of Python. The workshop is used to familiarize participants with the general functions and syntax associated with this programming language. Participants will work through some of the example codes in order to understand basic coding. Computers can be provided, however, if you prefer to bring your own computer make sure you install the Python software, available here.
