Introduction to 3D Scanning Workshop

In this workshop, you will learn how to operate the NextEngine 3D scanner located in the Makerspace. You will learn how to setup a piece for optimal scanning, as well as how to configure the software in order to achieve the best results. 3D scanners are very effective in the field of reverse engineering and can open up your design possibilities. Please note that this workshop is a demonstration as the scanner takes a fair amount of time to complete scans, therefore we will only be covering its operation.

IP and commercialization of research

It is possible to turn your research into a start-up where the customers are the ultimate peer-review . The Innovation Support Services will run a workshop on “IP and commercialization of research” to help you understand who owns and who has the right to develop your research or to commercialize it. The presentation will be followed by Q/A period to answer any question you might have regarding IP and research.
