The Basic Lathe training offered by CEED is the first step in getting access to the Lathes inside the Brunsfield Center. In this training, attendees will learn how to use the basic operations of the Lathe safely and effectively.   Please note that attendees will be required to do the following in order to participate from this event   - Bring closed shoes (steel toes are not mandatory but recommended)   - Be certified in the basic machine shop training offered by CEED  

The Basic Mill training offered by CEED is the first step in getting access to the Mills inside the Brunsfield Center. In this training attendees will learn how to use the basic operations of the milling machine safely and effectively.

Please note that attendees will be required to do the following in order to participate to this event

This Ontario Makers and Mentors Innovation Conference is a student initiative supported by the University of Ottawa's Faculty of Engineering and the Centre Engineering Entrepreneurial Design (CEED). In collaboration with the uOttawa Richard L’Abbé Makerspace and our sponsors, we create a conference where makers, entrepreneurs, hobbyist, and students can come out to compete with innovative designs, meet companies from the industry and see the latest and greatest in project technology.

Dans cet atelier, vous allez apprendre à utiliser le scanneur 3D NextEngine situé dans le Makerspace. Vous apprendrez comment configurer une pièce pour une numérisation optimale, ainsi que comment configurer le logiciel pour obtenir des meilleurs résultats. Les scanneurs 3D sont très efficaces dans le domaine de l'ingénierie inverse et peuvent ouvrir vos possibilités de conception. Veuillez noter que cet atelier est une démonstration car le scanner prend pas mal de temps pour terminer les analyses, nous ne couvrirons donc que son fonctionnement.
