This hands-on session will introduce you to the creative process of ideation to make a difference in your community and the world.

The session will also introduce you to other available sessions for the difference Makers program

The Internet of Things (IoT) is the network of physical objects or "things" embedded with electronics, software, sensors, and connectivity to enable objects to collect and exchange data.

This workshop will show you how we can program electronics to read data and produce results, from the Makerspace's own RFID scanner to the colour changing l.e.d. strips programmed to be controlled by an app. We will brush upon using Raspberry Pi and how to use a Pi to control devices over a network.

Les étudiants qui souhaitent participer à ce concours doivent avoir lancé une entreprise conçue à partir d’une innovation technologique, ou doivent avoir l’intention de le faire prochainement. Vous pouvez gagner jusqu’à 45 000 $! Les gagnants pourront aussi profiter de coaching individuel, de locaux d’incubation, ainsi que de conseils juridiques et en comptabilité.

To participate in this competition, students must have already launched a business based on a technological innovation or must have the intention of doing so in the near future. Up to 45k in prizes is up for grabs! The winners will also be offered one-on-one mentorship, incubation space, legal and accounting advice during this period.
