Laser Cutter Certification

This workshop is a certification class where participants will be shown how to safely use the Laser cutters located in the Makerspace. Each participant will need to display their skill of properly using the laser cutter before recieving certification to use the machine. 

Participants are asked to join the Makerspace as a member to participant in the workshop before arriving.

Introduction to wearables

This workshop will introduce participants to wearable technology including whats out on the market and what types of products you will need to start working on your own wearable projects. The makerspace will be selling kits and individual parts for people interested in creating wearable tecchnology. 

This workshop is offered in English and runs from 6:00-7:00pm. No equipment is required.

Introduction à la réalité virtuelle - 2e Partie

L'atelier VR de cette semaine montrera aux participants comment créer des fonctions personnalisées avec des contrôleurs dans leurs scènes (comme des projectiles de tir). Les participants utiliseront Unity3D et le HTC Vive pour créer un jeu de tir de base. Cette leçon sera plus interactive et nécessitera une très petite compréhension de la programmation orientée objet. Il est recommandé aux inscrits d'avoir installé la dernière version d'Unity et d'avoir suivi le tutoriel Roll-a-Ball sur le site Web d'Unity.

Introduction to Virtual Reality - Part 2

This week's VR workshop will show participants how to create custom functions with controllers in their scenes (such as shooting projectiles). Participants will use Unity3D and the HTC Vive to create a basic firing game. This lesson will be more interactive and will require a very small understanding of object oriented programming.
