Durant l'atelier, les participants apprendront comment fabriquer des pièces en matériaux composites ainsi que les précautions à prendre durant la fabrication. Les participants apprendront comment manipuler les fibres et les infuser avec de la résine en utilisant la technique de moulage par transfert de résine sous vide. Cet atelier est plus complexe que l'atelier de base. Les pièces créées auront des géométries variantes ainsi que des ajouts métalliques. Les participants pourront revenir après l'atelier pour démouler leur pièce et partir chez eux avec le produit fini!

During this workshop, attendees will learn about the theory behind manufacturing composite parts, as well as safety procedures to follow when doing so. The workshop is hands-on, with attendees learning how to manipulate fibers and successfully infuse them with the VARTM technique. This workshop is slightly more complex than the basic workshop. The composite parts created will feature structural inserts, varying geometry, and extruding components. Attendees can return after the workshop to take out of the mold, trim and bring their project home with them!

Durant l'atelier, les participants apprendront des techniques de traitement de surfaces pour les pièces en matériaux composites. Ceci inclut le découpage, le glaçage, le ponçage humide et le polissage. Les participants ayant complété les autres ateliers pourront apporter leurs pièces en composites à cet atelier.

During this workshop, attendees will learn how to create a stunning surface finish on a composite part. This will entail trimming, skinning, coating, wet sanding, and polishing. Attendees who attended previous workshops (wet-layup and VARTM workshops) will be able to bring their composite parts to work on.
