On February 22, from 11:30am-1:00pm, join the Civil Law Section and the Public Law Centre for a discussion on an article by Amar Khoday, Professor at the University of Manitoba Faculty of Law: Black Voices Matter Too: Counter-Narrating Smithers v The Queen.   Professor Amar Khoday will discuss his latest article: “Black Voices Matter Too: Counter Narrating Smithers v the Queen”. The article presents a legal history and counter-narrative of the Supreme Court of Canada's landmark decision in Smithers v. R. The article was also recently published in the Osgoode Hall Law Journal and can be viewed here.   The launch is moderated by Christian Yawo Alou, doctoral student at the University of Ottawa, Faculty of Law.
