Join us for the inauguration of the Interdisciplinary Centre for Black Health (ICBH), the first Canadian academic research centre entirely dedicated to the study of biological, social, and cultural determinants of health in Black communities in Canada.

Co-founded by Professor Jude Mary Cénat (Faculty of Social Sciences), Emmanuelle Bernheim (Faculty of Law), Chibuike Udenigwe (Faculty of Health Sciences) and Sharon Whiting (Faculty of Medicine), the ICBH brings together researchers with diverse expertise to collaborate with an interdisciplinary and social justice lens.

The presentation of the Centre will be followed by two lectures. The Honourable Dr. Marie-Françoise Mégie will discuss the health disparities in black communities, whereas Dr. Josephine Etowa will address the issue of racism and black health in Canada.
