Jacques Frémont, President and Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ottawa, and Sanni Yaya, Vice-President, International and Francophonie, are pleased to invite you to a day of roundtable discussions on Tuesday, September 21 – the United Nations’ International Day of Peace

As the world strives to heal from the COVID19 pandemic, the 2021 UN theme for the International Day of Peace invites us to consider meaningful paths to “recovering better for an equitable and sustainable world.” Join us for a ‘think-in’ that examines how gender, peace, and security can help advance a more equitable and sustainable recovery.

Roundtables will consider three sectors that benefit from an understanding and integration of gender, peace, and security: care and wellbeing; governance; and justice.
