In honour of National Indigenous History Month, the University of Ottawa’s Institute of Indigenous Research and Studies and the Office of the Vice-President, Research invite you to an interdisciplinary panel discussion led by Indigenous scholars.

 

The panel discussion will address the following topics:

  • Doing research with, by and for Indigenous peoples within the current incomplete processes of decolonization and truth and reconciliation in Canada
  • The place of original peoples of North America and how their knowledges challenge liberalism, multiculturalism, and other western paradigms
  • Challenging equity, diversity and inclusion from the viewpoint of Indigenous scholars
  • Why and how to respect principles of Indigenous research in different fields of knowledge
