The Faculty of Social Sciences wishes to raise a glass to your success, and to offer you an opportunity to get inspired about what comes next.

Join the Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences on June 16th for a informal celebration during which alumni Délice Mugabo will share her experiences about the value of her university education and the journey she has taken since her own uOttawa convocation.

Délice Mugabois a black feminist Muslim geographer and member of the Third Eye Collective, a group dedicated to transformative justice for black women survivors of sexual violence. Her publications focus on Black feminist mobilization, radical Black activism in Montreal in the 90s, and anti-Black Islamophobia. She has a PhD from the City University of New York, she completed her master's degree in geography at Concordia University and her undergraduate degree in Political Science at the University of Ottawa. She is joining the Faculty’s Institute of Feminist and Gender Studies as a professor on July 1st.
