Book Launch: Dealing with Disaster
The Centre on Governance is pleased to invite you to a book launch for Dealing with Disaster: Public Capacities for Crisis and Contingency Management, edited by David C.G. Brown, University of Ottawa and Jacek Czaputowicz, University of Warsaw (e-publication of the International Institute of Administrative Sciences - IIAS).
Dealing with Disaster is a comparative public administration analysis of the administrative and governance challenges that governments face in confronting natural, industrial and public health disaster situations. With authors from 12 countries, the book examines the issues involved from several perspectives: theoretical approaches, the international dimension, national administrative capacity requirements and disaster case studies. The panel is made up of three of the Canadian contributors.
