« Forest Dependent Communities and Governance»

Guy Chiasson and Annie Montpetit, dirs.

Revue Gouvernance/Governance review is pleased to invite you to the launch of its latest issue, edited by Guy Chiasson (UQO) and Annie Montpetit (UQO) on forest-dependent communities.

This issue of the Governance Review examines the concept of forest-dependent communities from a political rather than simply economic perspective. More specifically, this issue conceives these communities as political actors who, within a larger system, may or may not have the capacity to participate in the decisions that will shape their development. The four papers contribute to better understand the role of these communities in international, regional and community forest governance as well as possible articulations with Aboriginal forest governance in Canada.

Maude Flamand-Hubert from the Department of Wood and Forest Sciences of Laval University will act as a guest speaker. https://www.sbf.ulaval.ca/professeurs/maude-flamand-hubert
