Death in the Ice: the Mystery of the Franklin Expedition is the setting of this exciting educational event for learners in the Faculty of Medicine (students, residents, faculty, staff) interested in the history of forensic medicine. Experts in pathology, history, anthropology, and museum curation will lead a series of mini-workshops using artifacts, oral histories, and forensic evidence from the mysterious Franklin arctic expedition. Discussion, networking, and refreshments to follow. The event is co-sponsored by the Office of Continuing Professional Development and Hannah Chair in History of Medicine.

An exhibition developed by the Canadian Museum of History (Gatineau, Canada), in partnership with Parks Canada Agency and with the National Maritime Museum (London, United Kingdom), and in collaboration with the Government of Nunavut and the Inuit Heritage Trust.
