"From Oka to the Olympics and now Reconciliation: A Mohwak Woman's Journey"/D'Oka aux Jeux olympiques, et maintenant la reconcilaition: le voyage d'une femme Mohawk"

Waneek Horn-Miller is an Olympic atheletefrom the Kahnawake Mohawk territory, located on the south shore of Montreal.Waneek was at the front lines during the 1990 Oka crisis and stabbed by a Canadian soldier. She used this life changing experience to fuel her dreams of competing at the Olympics. She is currently working with the Assembly of First Nations as the IndigenACTION Ambassador to develop a National INdigenous Sport, Fitness and Welness Startegy.
