Mark your calendars! On 1-4 March 2018, all 4 major universities in Ottawa will be co-hosting the philosophy student conference, 'Actualities: Philosophy and Our Present'.

This conference marks the first formal collaboration between the respective philosophy student associations from University of Ottawa, Saint Paul University, Dominican University College and Carleton University! An event not to be missed! All are welcome! Admission is FREEjust like the coffee and sweet treats we'll be providing!

This conference will be of interest to all who have asked the question: What constitutes the relation between our philosophical activity and our contemporary social reality?

Having as our goal the promotion and broadening of our Ottawa philosophical community, we have engaged the following professors to provide us with keynote presentations:

Iva Apostolova (Dominican University College, Philosophy)

Wes Furlotte (Dominican University College, Philosophy)

Matthew R. McLennan (Saint Paul University, Philosophy)

Douglas Moggach (University of Ottawa, Political Studies & Philosophy)

Julie Paquette (Saint Paul University, Public Ethics & Philosophy)

Devin Zane Shaw (Carleton University, Philosophy)

Zoe Todd (Carleton University, Sociology/Anthropology & Geography/Environmental Studies)

  • Thursday/Jeudi, 1st March/Mars (Saint Paul University; Room 117, Guigues Hall)
