Title: Topological Cascade Lasers Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE MicrosoftInternetExplorer4
Abstract: Topologically protected modes occur in photonic crystals with specific symmetries and are robust with respect to perturbations and fabrication imperfections. These modes and - more in general - ideas from topological physics may play a role in a new generation of integrated devices, as lasers and nonreciprocal optical systems. Here we review our recent theoretical investigations about one-dimensional topological lasers and their possible use for frequency comb emitters.
Join us for the seminar and the extended discussion period following the presentation. Pizza will be served during the discussion session.
