Since taking office in late 2015, the Trudeau government has clearly signaled its intent to reorient Canada’s engagement in fragile and conflict-affected states (FCAS) – by increasing its engagement in UN peace operations especially in Africa, and by taking a feminist approach to diplomacy, development and security in such contexts.
