Again this year, the Faculty of Engineering will participate to the "Take our kids to work day" program (for students in 8th or 9th grade, depending on their school board), taking place Wednesday, November 1st.   The "Take Our Kids to Work" program illustrates the importance of education, skills development and training while giving students the opportunity to experience the world of work and to see the variety of career opportunities that awaits them. The program, including the University of Ottawa, continues to emphasize safe and healthy workplaces.

Schedule (optional)

The Engineering Outreach team will offer the following programming:

  • 9 a.m.: Meeting point at the atrium – entrance of the SITE building (at 800 King Edward)
  • 9:10 a.m. – 12 p.m.: Engineering workshops with Maker Mobile CBY B109D
  • 12 p.m. – 1 p.m.*:Lunch (participants must bring their lunch) – 1st floor of SITE
  • 1 p.m. – 3 p.m.: Visit of the Brunsfield Center (Participants will walk over and will meet in the SITE entrance to leave by 1 p.m.)
  • 3 p.m.:End of day. Parents should come pick up their child at the SITE building in the atrium

*Parents wishing to have lunch with their child can meet with them on the 1st floor of SITE at noon in front of Tim Hortons.
