Did you know that the Student Federation of the University of Ottawa’s (SFUO) Food Bank helps hundreds of students every month. September and October being one of the busiest months for the Food Bank, the Faculty of Social Sciences is proud to once again take part in Shelfstock, a back to school food drive for the SFUO Food Bank.

 Between Monday, September 18th and Friday, October 6th, we are calling on staff and professors to empty their cottage cupboards, rid their homes of products they never use, and give whatever extra food items they may to replenish the Food Bank’s shelves.

By contributing to the drive, you just might be helping our students eat a more balanced diet. That, in itself, could be enough to help them concentrate on their studies rather than them worrying about where their next meal might come from.

Please bring your items at one of the collection boxes set up in FSS 3010, FSS 4031 and FSS 5039. If you want your own box, please email us at scscomm@uOttawa.ca.
