Who are the difference makers? They’re the people bursting with positive thoughts and big ideas. The people eager to take action and solve tough problems. The people designing products and building businesses that have the power to change the world for the better. You probably know one or two. Maybe you want to become one yourself.

We know all about difference makers. At the Faculty of Engineering and our Centre for Entrepreneurship and Engineering Design, we’ve created a program to nurture the next generation of these ambitious, enterprising, socially conscious people. Our Difference Makers program uses a variety of workshops to nurture young engineers’ entrepreneurial spirit and equip them with the skills they need to make the world a healthier, wealthier, smarter and safer place.

Meet some of these difference makers. Join uOttawa Faculty of Engineering interim Dean Ioan Nistor and several teams of young student innovators engaged in a pitch competition to showcase their difference-making products. Think of it as a Dragons’ Den for entrepreneurial engineers. This friendly competition promises to be an inspirational display of creativity, innovation and social entrepreneurship.

*A light lunch will be served.
