The annual Employee Giving program celebrates the potential of future generations through student awards and merit scholarships. Our students deserve the best education we can give them, so that they may be best prepared to meet tomorrow’s challenges. As faculty members, administrative staff and retirees, involvement in this campaign means we can have a direct and positive impact on the quality of the experiences available to our students.

Indeed, at the Faculty of Social Sciences, through this campaign, we are building a culture of philanthropy which benefits all of us in the long run. Here’s a simple and effective way to have a direct impact in the lives of our students!

This year, the Employee Giving campaign runs from March 1st to April 19, 2017. If you would like to know more, you can call on campaign volunteers (Sonia Vani or Daniela Gutierrez) or visit the website

Official Launch

The Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences, Marcel Mérette, is pleased to invite you to the Faculty of Social Sciences’ official Employee Giving campaign launch on Thursday, April 6, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., room FSS 4006.  Coffee and snacks will be served. Colleagues from the Dean’s Cabinet, the Development Office and a few students who are recipients of these scholarships, will be on-site to share testimonials.

There is room for us to do better…together!

In 2017, our Faculty participation rate in the Annual Employee Giving Campaign is set for to 35%. As a large social sciences family, we know we can reach that goal, but we need your help.

In the next few weeks, let’s do all we can to increase our Faculty’s engagement. It’s not about the amount you give, it’s just about getting involved, picking a project and giving, even just a little.

Thanks in advance for your support and participation!
