The current wealth of health and performance data creates new opportunities for payers of health services - be it multiple payers as in the USA, or single payer as in Canada. Health insurance analytics implement data-driven solutions for health plan design, care management, responsive consumer reporting, and pay for performance initiatives; these are many of the same challenges and goals that health systems in Canada are focused on improving. Mr. Beaulé and Dr’s Vojta and Staub are leaders within UHG for the modernization of systems to serve both the sponsor and physician communities toward a more accountable and high performing health system. Together they bring the expertise of health analytics, population health management and accountable care delivery models. Respectively, they are leading innovations across the broad reach of UHG at a local, national and at times global scale, including: a framework for the modernization of employer health plans, the deployment of evidence-based diabetes prevention and healthy lifestyle programs (adult and child), and the integration of clinical practices into high performing accountable care practices.

UnitedHealth Group’s rich experience in using data analytics, scaling health innovation, and tackling the challenges of implementing the Triple Aim in large and diverse health systems provides the audience with a unique opportunity to learn from the UHG experience and compare and contrast it to the Canadian health systems landscape. We look forward to hosting the UHG team as part of the Telfer Health TransformationExchange Expert knowledge transfer initiatives.
