This presentation will discuss a classic and controversial question in the social sciences: Can media with antisocial content represent a risk factor in the development of antisocial behaviour during childhood and adolescence? More specifically, we will examine the most recent and robust findings from meta-analyses and longitudinal studies pertaining to the potential influence of antisocial contents in television/movies, video games, Internet, songs, and media in general. Directions for future research are proposed.
