Objectives: Through attending this session participants will be able to:
- Review the global situation of pediatric, neonatal and maternal mortality
- Review the determinants of health in low resource countries
- Discuss the objectives and impact of the millennium development goals and the sustainable development goal
- Discuss why neonatal care needs to be reinforced in order to achieve the under-5 mortality rate goals
- Illustrate the health advocate role through personal projects to improve neonatal survival in Benin, Africa
