Professor Adam Dodek will share his insights and practical tips for interviewing based upon his experiences as both an interviewee seeking various jobs and as someone who conducted hiring interviews in law. A graduate of Harvard Law School, Professor Dodek has interviewed with close to 100 lawyers and judges for various jobs including summer associate, associate, law clerk, political advisor and law professor. He has worked at law firms in San Francisco and Toronto, clerked at courts in Canada, the United States and Israel and now teaches at the Faculty of Law at the University of Ottawa. He has interviewed many law students and other prospective employees for various jobs. He will address all aspects of the interviewing process including different strategies between on-campus and at-office interviews; how to make an impression, in a good way…; how to prepare and research for your interview; what your goals are and how to accomplish those goals and what to wear and what not to wear.
