The University of Ottawa Makerspace offers FREE workshops for students and staff of the University as well as members of the general public. These workshops introduces participants to equipment available in the uOttawa Makerspace. Participants will be taught how to safely use the equipment and how to design with the software packages for the Makerspace equipment.

This particular workshop will focus on 3D Printer and 3D modelling tools and software. The time in the workshop will be used to familiarize participants with 3D modelling software and the 3D printing process. At the end of the workshop participant will design their own 3D model and 3D print the model for free.

What you will use:

  • 3D modeling software (TinkerCAD, SolidWorks)
  • MakerBot Replicator 2 (or MakerBot Replicator Mini)

If you are new to the makerspace, please arrive 10min. early for registration
