The Institute for Science, Society and Policy and the Royal Canadian Institute for Science are delighted to invite you to the 1st public panel on the impact of emerging science and technology innovations on society. This panel will focus on gene editing technology and discuss how CRISPR works, who should be able to edit genes and where this technology could take us.

M. Ali Moussa Iye, UNESCO representative, will speak about the role of the project in the dissemination of knowledge about Africa. This will be followed by a discussion with professors from the History Department and the public.
