Indigenous rights based climate strategies: Reclaiming our roles as leaders in the Climate Justice movement

"I will be exploring my own body of work with reflection of other indigenous rights based led actions and strategies in north America. Discussing the current shift and consciousness of Indigenous rights, where we are getting right and where we need improvement still."

Eriel Deranger is Denè Indigenous rights advocate and Tar Sands activist. She will guide participants through a hands on workshop that explores how power, privilege and oppression play pivotal roles in perpetuating environmental racism and the critical steps necessary to be an environmental justice advocate and ally. You will walk away feeling empowered!
